Pau's debut in the El Corte Inglés Euroleague Junior Tournament wasn't as close as the final result shows. Pau scored the first 4 points of the game, and Cibona replied with a 0-7 run, but that was the last time Cibona had the lead. The French juniors led 20-15 after 10 minutes, climbed to a double digit lead in the 13th, 29-17, and kept a solid lead until half time, 40-28. After only 4 minutes in the 2nd half, it seemed like the game was decided as Pau took off to a 20 point lead, 49-29. The Croatians seemed lost, and finished the 3rd quarter down by 17, but showed a great character in the last quarter with a huge comeback. Damir Omerhodzic scored 17 of his 31 points in the last 10 minutes of the game, and Cibona slowly cut down Pau's lead with 5 accurate 3 point shots. With only one minute on the clock Pau's lead was cut down to four, 74-70, but that was the closest Cibona got.

Georges Mdivani, The Georgian player of Pau, had a very bad shooting day with only 4 points in 1/7 from the field, but pulled down 9 rebounds and passed 3 assists. Julien Blanchot was the leading scorer of Pau with 16 points. Damir Omerhodzic had 31 points (10/26 FG) for Cibona and added 5 rebounds.
