Efes Pilsen
"My team was prepared well for this game. Maccabi is an excellent team with athletic players. They are playing the simple way of the game. But we struggled to stop them in the first half. In the second half, we started to make our typical tough defense. It's not easy to play with the same rhythm in a hard game like that. I think we deserved the win. It's really important win for us. It was a good, tough and tactical game of two great teams. It's too early to say that Efes will take the first place. Because there are a lot of balanced teams and everything can happen in the future."
GERSHON, PINI
Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv
"In the end it's a good result. Because we will beat Efes by more than two points in Tel Aviv. Solomon had a very good game. But we also had a great game as a team."

Players

AKYOL, CENK
Efes Pilsen
"In the first half, we weren't able to stop Maccabi Tel Aviv having the fastbreaks one after another. We gave Maccabi a lot of chances to score by the fastbreaks. But in the second half, we had a great game. We played better in defense and it made us play better in offense too. To win against a great team is really feels good. We hope to keep going on like this until the end."
PEKER, KAYA
Efes Pilsen
"Maccabi Tel Aviv was the hardest opponent for us to keep going on winning in this league. It was very important for us to win this game. Our ups and downs in the game is because of their different kind of playing style. But we realized what to do in the second half. We played much better in defence and deserved to win the game."
PARKER, ANTHONY
Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv
"We played the best game of the season and we lost. We had a big chance at the end. Sometimes it's going in and sometimes not. This was our chance that we were not lucky tonight."
