Cajasol Sevilla registered its first win in Group H by downing Orleans Loiret Basket 56-70 on the road on Wednesday. Cajasol and Orleans now with Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari tied for second place in Group H with a 1-2 record. Tomas Satoransky led the winners with 20 points. Joan Sastre added 14 while Robert Dozier had 11 for Cajasol. Caleb Green led Orleans with 12 points. Jahmar Young added 11 and Brian Greene had 10. Dozier and Sastre fueled a 4-19 run which allowed Cajasol to get a 10-21 margin after 10 minutes. A three-pointer by Sastre gave the guests a 14-point game, 12-26. Satoransky and Dozier helped Cajasol to stay way aheadc, 30-41, at halftime. Young and Green stepped up after the break to bring Orleans within 43-47 late in the third quarter. Satoransky and Sastre stepped up in crunch time, as Cajasol boosted its margin to 53-65 and never looked back.
Dozier got Cajasol going with a jumper but a 6-0 run that Green capped with a three-pointer soon allowed
Orleans to get a 6-2 lead. Juanjo Triguero and Dozier combined for 6 points in an 0-8 run that made the guests regain the
lead, 6-10. Young scored in the paint but Brian Asbury dunked it and Dozier scored again to boost Cajasol's lead to 8
-14. Antoine Eito stepped up with a layup but Dozier shined with a put-back basket and Sastre followed a three-pointer
with a mid-range shot to boost the guests' margin to 10-21 at the end of the first quarter. Sastre fed Satoransky for a
dunk early in the second quarter. Eito hit a jumper that a red hot Sastre bettered with a triple for a 12-26 Cajasol lead.
Chris Hill followed a layup with free throws and Green hit a jumper but Satoransky singlehandedly kept the guests way ahead,
19-32. Bambale Osby made 3-of-4 foul shots, Satoransky nailed a jumper and a put-back layup by green gave Orleans hope at 24
-34. Asbury finished a two-chance Cajasol offense with a layup and a free throw by John Holland boosted the guests' lead to
24-37. Triguero dunked it and Luka Bogdanovic added a layup but Fernando Raposo kept Orleans within 30-41 at halftime.
Young struck from downtown right after the break and even when Satornasky hit another shot, Raposo and Greene allowed Orleans to get a bit closer, 37-43. Cajasol called timeout, Asbury stepped up with a layup and free throws by Triguero gave the guests some fresh air, 37-47. Orleans improved its defense, forcing Cajasol to go scoreless in the next 3 minutes. Meanwhile, Marc-Antoine Pellin, Young and Greene brought the hosts back in the game, 43-47. Bogdanovic stepped up with a layup, Greene made foul shots and a free throw by Milenko Tepic fixed the score at 45-50 after 30 minutes. Satoransky took over with a key three-pointer early in the fourth quarter and soon added free throws to make it a double-digit game, 45-55. Green tried to ignite the hosts' comeback with a layup and soon added a three-pointer to bring Orleans as close as 50-55. Cajasol improved its defense right when it mattered while Satoransky and Sastre struck from downtown to break the game open, 50-61, with under 4 minutes to go. Pellin joined the three-point shootout but free throws by Dozier and a jumper by Tepic sealed the outcome, 53-65. Orleans kept trying but Cajasol had cruised to a well-deserved win.
