Buducnost put an end to PAOK's winning streak with a great game in Podgorica. Thanks to the miraculous Dejan Tomasevic (29 points and 14 rebounds) and the very effective Igor Rakocevic, the team from Podgorica managed to beat the Greeks. Buducnost started very strong in their defense on Liadelis and Blair, the best players on PAOK. Kuzmanovic and Tomasevic did an excellent job. In the first period, Buducnost gained an 11 point lead (22-11) in minute 8 with three-pointers by Topic. The greatest lead on the scoreboard was in minute 12 (30-17) when Brkic scored his first three-pointer of the match. In the third period of the game, PAOK took the initiative and, thanks to the seven consecutive points by the Argentinean Racca and two points by Koronios, made a run and led by 2 in minute 28 by a score of 55-57. PAOK ended the quarter ahead 59-61. The fourth quarter of the game was brilliant for Miroslav Nikolic's team. It was a one-man show of Dejan Tomasevic against PAOK in the first 6 minutes. Racca scored the first points for his team at the end of minute 6 of the period. In the meantime, Tomasevic, Bakic and Topic made another run and obtained an insurmountable lead for their team. A Sigalas three-pointer and Coldebella's two free throws seemed to threaten Buducnost's lead, but Bakic and Rakocevic responded with two three-pointers and Tomasevic and Brkic assured the third victory of the Yugoslavian champion. PAOK's center Blair had 14 points and 12 rebounds and proved to be the best player for his team. Liadelis did not play well in the decisive period which was dominated by Kuzmanovic, Brkic, Bakic ad Rakocevic.
