Mega, on brink of final after comeback

U18 Mega Bemax Belgrade took an almost decisive step to enter the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament Finals championship game on Sunday by defeating U18 FC Bayern Munich 87-74 in comeback fashion on Friday. If U18 Maccabi Teddy Tel Aviv wins its other Group A game against U18 Zalgiris Kaunas, Mega will have mathematically advanced to the title game. Marko Andric and Aleksa Markovic paved the way for the winners with 14 points apiece, while Marko Brekic added 13. For Bayern, Matej Rudan had a huge performance with 27 points. Bayern dominated the first half and was ahead by 10 points at the break, 40-50, but a 27-11 burst in the third period put Mega ahead for good until the final buzzer.
