
KK Buducnost won the third spot in the Belgrade Nike International Tournament after a 64-68 win over Partizan Belgrade on Sunday afternoon in Belgrade, Serbia. The win lift Buducnost to a 3-2 record in the tournament having lost only to the two finalists FMP and INSEP. Partizan reached the 4th spot after taking the first two games but losing the last three. A great start for the 4th quarter bestowed Buducnost a comfortable 10 point lead, until Partizan made a comeback attempt in the closing minutes, which failed to complete due to three consecutive offensive rebounds by Buducnost. Marko Mugosa was the top scorer of the game with 23 points in addition to 7 rebounds, while Luka Radovic added 12 points with 18 rebounds and and Radovan Petricic scored 12 as well. Vukasin Vujovic led Partizan with 20 points, Nikola Radicevic and Nemanja Besovic added 13 each.
Petricic scored the first 7 points of Buducnost, but waited for his players to supply help and create a 0-12 run, good for a 6-16 lead. Radicevic stopped the long drought and Partizan managed to cut half of the difference by the end of the first quarter, 13-18. A very active Vujovic pushed Partizan to tie the game at 19-19, only to see Mugosa finding his groove with quick 6 points, but in this private match up Vujovic was on top. With points from close and far range he reached 20 points in 18 minutes, as Partizan took a 33-27 lead. Buducnost added two more points from the line to reach the half time break just four points behind, and ready to make the change in the game.
The half time talk made a great change in Buducnost on both ends of the floor. Besovic scored four points in the paint, but soon started the great Buducnost attack. Mugosa created points and assists to make it a 41-44 lead for his side, and soon reached 17 points. Besovic scored again the maintain just a 3 point difference, 54-51, but saw Raickovic and Mugosa carry their team to a 0-6 run on the way to the first double-digit lead of the game, 52-62. Partizan didn't find the way back to the game until Radicevic attacked the rim and with 5 quick points led his team to score 9 points in a row, and make it just a one point game, 64-65 inside the last 2 minutes. Niko Martinovic scored a point from the foul line for Buducnost, and after Radicevic forced a three point shot, the ball was back in Buducnost's hands. A series of missed shots connected to 3 offensive rebounds and Martinovic back on the charity stripe. Once again he hit just the first but Partizan didn't find the path to force overtime and Mugosa decided the game.
