Austin answered with a buzzer-beating triple, but he would wind up on the bench sooner that Hapoel planned with his second foul. However, reserve Erez Markovic came in and made a layup to bring his team within 1. Ford made a rare three as Berlin went up 18-13, before Bowers made it 18-15. after 10 minutes. Berlin went to Ruben Boumtje Boumtje at the start of the second period as the lead grew to 25-19. Bowers ended Jerusalem's dry spell with a long-range jumper and Austin followed with a triple to make it 27-26. Alba, struggling with poor shot selection from its guards, took a timeout, but still could not stop Hapoel from taking a 29-30 lead with two more back-to back baskets by Austin. Sharrod Ford successfully attacked Hapoel's basket for a three-point play, but Hapoel answered with Tapiro's triple for 32-30. Dror Hajaj had the last word with a triple for a 34-36 Hapoel lead at the break.

Ford opened the second half with a long jumper to tie the score, but Golemac and Tapiro scored 7 points to put Alba in trouble. After a timeout Jenkins made a huge triple to get the home crowd involved, but Austin was there to calm it down with a jumper. Ford dunked and blocked a shot at the other end, but Tapiro grabbed the ball to hit a cool triple and deflate the hosts' hopes. Ford and Avery kept Alba alive with two lay-ups. but Bowers hit back with 4 points to put Hapoel's lead back to 45-52. Owens scored 4, answered by two triples from Cota. A Bowers jumper and a triple by Hajaj let Hapoel race to a 57-71 lead at the start of the final period. Owens and Avery scored Alba's first points of the quarter, but the Berliners could not stop Austin nor Bowers, who continued Hapoel's magic night from outside with another triple, which broadened Hapoel's lead to 64-78. Hapoel managed the clock well and hit several shots at the end of the shot clock as the former ULEB Cup champs scored their first road win of the season.

Head Coaches

RODL, HENRIK
Alba Berlin
"This was, of course, a disappointing loss, but you have to give respect to the Jerusalem team. Especially in the second half they gave a shooting clinic. I have rarely seen a team shooting like Hapoel did today. Of course, we like to have a little better defense on these shooters, but in general, when you shoot 13-for-17 threes, there's not much, you can do. I still thought, that especially in the third quarter we started to score ourselves, but we could never contain their team and that was the reason, why we lost this game."
SHAMIR, DAN
Hapoel Migdal
"We came here in a complicated and crucial situation after two losses in the ULEB Cup and one in the national league. Of course, I am very satisfied with the way we played and hope, that we can turn it around from here. This was a big win against a team and an organization we respect very much."

Players

ARCHIBONG, KOKO
Alba Berlin
"We just did not play well, we did not take care of the things we had to do and they played very well, shot the ball very well late in the game. We'll look at the tape tomorrow, will look at all the things we did wrong and try to correct it."
BOWERS, TIMMY
Hapoel Migdal
"Our good shooting has a lot to do with our ball movement. We moved the ball extremely well, played extremely unselfish tonight. A lot of guys passed their shots up to get the other guy open. If we do that, it's really easy to make shots. We came here with our back to the wall, we knew that it would be tough to beat Alba on their home court. But we just wanted to play with a lot of intensity and play our style of basketball on the offensive end. Fortunately this put us into a situation to win."
