Head Coaches

LEIBENATH, THORSTEN
Ratiopharm Ulm
“It was a very tight game and both teams had the chance to win it. St. Petersburg, at the end, made the deciding points. Both teams were on the same level, but St. Petersburg had a bit more quality. In comparison to last week, we improved a lot. We put way more intensity on the court and we had only 9 turnovers this time. Moreover, we outrebounded Spartak too. The team showed a performance that we build upon.”
ZDOVC, JURE
Spartak St Petersburg
"ratiopharm ulm is a very good team with a good coach and a great crowd. I’d like to have this kind of crowd in St. Petersburg, too. It was fun to play here in this atmosphere. Actually, we tended to underestimate Ulm. They played good and surprised us. From the first to the third quarter we played good defense. Then we relaxed whenever we got the lead. Ulm took advantage because they are very fast and have a strong offense. At the end we were the team that was luckier, more experienced and had more quality. It was an important win for us, because now we are qualified for the Last 16."

Players

RAY, ALLAN
Ratiopharm Ulm
“It hurts that we lost. It was a tough and competitive game. There were many chances to win for both teams tonight. We gave our best, but it was not enough in the last quarter. We showed more intensity, discipline and aggressiveness than last week in St. Petersburg.”
CARTER, JOSH
Spartak St Petersburg
“It was a good game. A fast pace. Ulm is a tough team. They played very well. We played pretty good defense and Ulm has a talented offense. We played a little bit better today, especially at the end of the game.”
