KK Zagreb Croatia qualified to the title game of the Nike International Junior Tournament in style after a 107-68 victory over Fenerbache Ulker on Saturday afternoon in Barcelona, Spain. Zagreb complete the Group A games with a perfect 3-0 record, while FB-Ulker dropped to 1-2. Already in its debut appearance in the competition Zagreb will get a chance to fight for the gold medal after a more than impressive performance in all three games. Both teams fought for the top spot entering the game, but from tip off there was only one team dominating the floor. Mario Hezonja led the way with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists followed by Dario Saric who had 26 points as well as 16 boards and 3 assists. Dominik Mavra added 22 with 5 assists. FB Ulker got 27 points and 11 boards from Berkay Candan, but no other player joined him in double digits. Zagreb will now wait for the winner of Group B and on Sunday morning at 10:00 will fight for the top spot on the podium.

Candan put his team up 2-4 in the first minute, but saw Zagreb answer with a 14-2 run already midway through the first quarter. Saric and Mavra collected more points and before the first buzzer set the gap on 31-10. FB Ulker used good minutes by Candan and James Metecan Birsen to make it all the way back to 46-34 late in the second quarter, but Filip Knezevic and Hezonja pushed the lead up to 17 at the half time break, 51-34. The offensive attack by Zagreb continued in the second half and Hezonja hit a three pointer to push the gap over the 20-point line, 67-45 after 25 minutes. FB Ulker never found the way back from that hole, while Zagreb's coach allowed his top players to get some rest in the last minutes before Sunday’s big game.
