"It was obvious that we wanted to cut our losing streak by beating a strong team like Besiktas. It is a real big success to advance to the second phase in a group with so many strong teams. In tonight's game we were falling and rising all the way. Milan Macvan played a big game but he made a huge mistake and after his technical foul and we received 7 consecutive points. I am happy because we played so good in overtime after Besiktas opened it with a 0-5 run. We were looking for our chance in defense and we found it winning the game. We deserved that win."

"We planned to defend our paint as much as possible but our two centers were loaded with fouls so we failed to play good defense under the boards. That helped Macvan, Savovic and Jordan to take easy points. We saw only a chance to win the game with points from our guards but we were unlucky at the end. In a game like that in which final score is so important we missed badly Allen Iverson. First of all due to his experience."
