Galatasaray Istanbul remains unbeaten atop Group F after escaping from Krylatskoye Sports Palace with a 72-88 win over Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd on Wednesday. Galatasaray improved to 4-0, while Krasny Oktyabr fell to 1-3. The hosts got a slim 24-18 margin early in the second quarter, but Galatasaray took the lead at 34-37 on an Errick McCollum three-pointer. A crucial 11-0 run in the third quarter gave it a comfortable margin and Galatasaray never looked back. Blake Schilb added 19 points and 9 assists, Caleb Green scored 12, while Stephane Lasme and Joey Dorsey chipped in 10 apiece in victory. Back-to-back three-pointer by Cooper gave a 13-5 margin to Oktyabr at the midway point of the first quarter. Caleb Green from mid range and Lasme in the paint fueled the guests, but Andrei Mateiunas scored 4 points in a row gave a double digit cushion, 20-9, to the home team. A 9-2 Galatasaray run to finish the quarter highlighted by Schilb from downtown and McCollum from mid range made it 22-18. Cooper extended the margin to 24-18 to start the second quarter. Sinan Guler from beyond the arc and Green inside cut the difference to 27-26, then the score was tied three times before McCollum from the three-point line and Dorsey with a reverse layup put Galatasaray in front 34-39. Schilb and Johnson exchanged buckets before Dorsey scored again underneath for a 37-43 Galatasaray lead at halftime.

Lasme capped a 6-0 run to get a double digit margin, 37-49. Hamilton and Johnson tried to fuel the hosts, but an 11-0 run for Galatasaray made it a 15-point game. Sokolov and Johnson contained the difference by scoring late in the quarter, 53-67. Sokolov pushed the home team to within 57-67, but Green hit from downtown and rejected Krasny farther. "We started pretty good, but step by step Galatasaray took control of the game. Today we lacked sharpness in offense and Galatasaray has a much deeper bench."
