Head Coaches

BAGATSKIS, AINARS
Nizhny Novgorod
"They were some doubts about our players’ condition ahead of this game. We were slow in the beginning, but still managed to collect points. But everything we gained on offense we lost on defense. In the final quarter we couldn’t make a shot seven times in a row. We didn’t make the right decisions. And we allowed Neptunas to get too many easy points from the free throw line."
ADOMAITIS, DAINIUS
Neptunas Klaipeda
"We knew that Nizhny might underestimate us a little bit after their big win over Khimki. And we wanted to increase the tempo of the game to find them unprepared. But in the first half they were in control. After the halftime break, we changed our defense, doubled-teamed Mahalbasic, and steal after a steal we got back in the game. I’m happy that tonight we found players who could play their best and sustain the level of our opponent."

Players

MAHALBASIC, RASID
Nizhny Novgorod
"It’s a tough loss for us. we had a big lead, but didn’t make shots in the fourth quarter. I take the blame as well. I hope Max Grigoryev can recover for our next game on Saturday. We’re still okay in terms of the standings, but it’s a loss we should not have had."
MAZEIKA, MARTYNAS
Neptunas Klaipeda
"For the last 15 minutes we played like our coach wants us to play. And our goal is to play like that for all 40 minutes. It’s a big win for us."
