CSKA Moscow continued its rise through Group C with a third consecutive victory on Thursday, 73-90 at Zadar in Croatia. The mighty duo of Mirsad Turkcan and Gordan Giricek, together after a week's absence while the latter was injured, were too much for Zadar, even on its home court. Turkcan put up 25 points and 15 rebounds for his fifth consecutive double-double of the season. Seven of those rebounds were on offense. Giricek just stepped back on the court and scored 23. Igor Miglinieks boosted them with 13 points from the perimeter. Davor Marcelic kept up his hot shooting for Zadar with 23 points. Rumeal Robinson added 17 and Tomislav Ruzic added 14, but there was nobody to offset what Turkcan did. As such, CSKA is now 3-2, tied with Skipper Bologna behind leaders Panathinaikos and Real Madrid. Zadar falls to 1-4 after having won its first game on a buzzer beater.
