Union Olimpija Ljubljana earned its first win in the Nike International Junior Tournament following a 76-75 Group B thriller against INSEP on Thursday evening in Paris, France. A great finish to the game bestowed Olimpija with the win after INSEP made a run in the 3rd quarter, but couldn't hang on to it. Down by 8 with 5 minutes to play the team from Ljubljana hit three shots in a row from the arc to cap an 11-2 run to win the game. Olimpija will take on Zalgiris tomorrow while INSEP will seek its first victory against Cajasol Andalucia. Bojan Radulovic led Olimpija with 21 points and 9 rebounds, Filip Petrovic scored 15, Dorde Micic added 12 with key plays down the stretch and Jan Span added 11. Livio Jean-Charles and Yannis Morin were the top scorers of INSEP with 13 each, Mathis Keita scored 12 and Hugo Invernizzi had 10.

Olimpija used a good start by Petrovic who made all his first four shots to take a 13-8 lead. Keita and Morin gave INSEP 6 unanswered points and the first quarter finished with Olimpija up 23-20. William Howard scored from the perimeter to tie it early in the 2nd quarter, but Olimpija quickly restored the lead with points by Radulovic enough to hold a 42-38 lead at the half time break. INSEP started the 2nd half with better energies as Jean-Charles led a 2-9 run. Morin and Keita showed their power from close and far range, and Howard scored a lay-up to write a 56-63 INSEP lead before the deciding 10 minutes of the game. Petrovic and Span made sure INSEP won't get too far, but still found their team behind 65-73 with 5 minutes on the game clock, and then it was step up time. Span scored the first three pointer and was followed by back-to-back hits by Micic who put his team on top 76-73. Jean-Charles scored on the left side of the rim inside the last two minutes, and INSEP also had the last ball to win the game, but a bad pass allowed Olimpija the chance to protect the lead and finish the come back with a win.
