Armani Junior Milan finished off its Euroleague Basketball Nike International Junior Tournament - Milan on a high note by beating Fenerbahce Istanbul 59-45 its final Group B game. Diego Flaccadori led Milan in scoring with nine points while Alberto Cacace collected five points, seven rebounds, three assists and eight steals as the host team finished with a 2-1 record in the group. Fenerbahce lost all three of its games despite Atakan Turkoglu and Omer Yurtseven both scoring nine points in the final game. Fenerbahce, which was playing without Utku Saraloglu and Ayberk Olmaz, jumped ahead 9-5 but the game went back and forth in the beginning. There were five lead changes and one tie by the time Milan went up 13-12. But Efe Ayberk Kayalar and Ercan Bayrak both nailed three balls in a 10-3 Fenerbahce run to close the first quarter ahead 22-16. The advantage grew to 26-16 when Cacace took over, collecting four points, five steals and two rebounds as Milan went on a 13-2 run over the final eight minutes of the first half to lead 29-28 at the break. It was 31-31 when Milan reeled off seven straight points and was ahead 44-39 after three quarters. Milan scored the first five points of the fourth quarter to open a 10-point gap 49-39. And the host team did not let Fenerbahce get closer than eight points the rest of the way.
