A jumper by Marc-Antoine Pellin and a three-pointer by Caleb Green gave Orleans a 43-37 edge at halftime.

Rakocevic struck from downtown right after the break and Katic added a jumper for a 43-42 Zvezda deficit. Young split free throws and added a layup but Orleans kept struggling to score. Meanwhile, Subotic followed a layup with consecutive three-pointers to complete the guests' comeback, 46-51. Young scored again but he didn't find much help around. Katic scored around the basket, Subotic dunked it and soon added a layup to make it an eight-point game, 49-57. Young buried a bomb from downtown and followed Fernando Raposo's layup with another three-pointer to give Orleans some hope at 57-59. Rakocevic, Subotic and Savovic answered from downtown to boost Zvezda's margin to 58-68 after 30 minutes. Subotic sank another shot early in the fourth quarter and soon added his fourth three-pointer to break the game open, 58-73. Head Coaches

HERVE, PHILIPPE
Orleans Loiret Basket
"We were good in rebounds and defense. We could have won if they were not so good at three-point shooting. Chris Hill brings us stability. We can be good on defense, we know we can control Sassari's offense. We will have to go with ambition."
VUKOICIC, VLADA
Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade
"Elton Brown was injured a few weeks ago. We can deal without him, but it has forced us to change the way we play with more systems, more pick-and-pop, more shots than usual. It's finally a kind of advantage because we play faster, especially in defense. This game was important for our confidence."

Players

HILL, CHRIS
Orleans Loiret Basket
"We are disappointed for sure because it was a game we could have won. It was difficult during the third quarter. We lacked intensity, their power forward scored 3 or 4 three-points, it was hard for us. We didn't play smart. "
