U18 Divina Seguros Joventut Badalona booked its ticket into the Semifinals of the EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL ADIDAS NEXT GENERATION TOURNAMENT Torneig de Bàsquet Junior Ciutat de L’Hospitalet with a 70-57 victory over U18 Cedevita Zagreb. Pol Molins scored 17 points with 6 rebounds and 5 assists while Pedro Barros collected 11 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for Joventut, which improved to 2-0 and locked up first place in Group B ahead of its final game against U18 Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens later Saturday. Leon Dubroja scored 16 points for Cedevita, which dropped to 1-1 in the group. The winner between Cedevita and U18 Torrons Vicens L’Hospitalet in the final game of the day will take second place in the group and a spot in the Semifinals.

Alejandro Galan picked up 6 points in helping Joventut take a 12-9 lead. Antonio Jordano came back down at the other end and drained 2 three-pointers to give Cedevita a 12-16 lead, Marin Mihalic entered for the injured Jordano and nailed a long ball as Cedevita was up 19-23 after 10 minutes. Toni Nakic stepped up in the second quarter with 6 points as the Cedevita extended to 19-29. But Barros did a bit of everything in getting Joventut back into the game, including a three-pointer to make it 28-29. Joventut was able to pull ahead but Cedevita led 35-36 at intermission. The Croatian club was ahead 35-39 but Barros was all over the court with a big play whenever Joventut needed one in the third quarter, which ended with Joventut up 54-49. With Jordano on the bench injured, Cedevita could not get any offense going and went scoreless for 7 minutes as Joventut went on a 10-0 run to pull away for a 66-52 lead with 2 minutes to go.
