A great block by the young Slovenian Center, Primoz Brezec, in the last seconds of the game, gave a deserved victory to the Slovenian Team, which dominated all the time, but its victory was in danger during the last minutes, after a run of 15-0 to put 67-66 in the scoreboard with 1:12 in the clock. Olimpia came out very strong and in the first quarter it was winning by 12 points already. The best players were Sani Becirovic and Minda Zukauskas who took advantage of Marcus Brown?s ausence by injury. The maximum difference achieved by the Slovenian team was of 18 points (38-56). The last quarter was awful for Olimpija though, with only 6 points scored. The Italians came close in the scoreboard, but it was not because of their good playing, but because of their wish for the victory. Olimpija was wise enough to defend their 18 point advantage taken during the game, which led them to the final victory, their first in the new Euroleague.
