Head Coaches

MONSCHAU, CHRISTIAN
BCM Gravelines
"We played a bad first half. We had no solutions on offense. We made turnovers through bad choice. In the second half, we played better. We stayed in the competition with this second half. "
OLMOS, FRANCISCO
Valencia Basket
"We knew it was going to be a difficult game against a team that had not lost at home yet and accumulated just three losses in the Eurocup and the French League. We were able to bounce back and get a strong start in this new group. We played an excellent first half, reading the game really well. They improved in the second half, but we managed to keep our lead. The team was very focused and that was very important. We managed to get the lead and stayed even-tempered even when they improved a bit. I want to congratulate my players, they played together, as a team. Brad Newley has been with the team for four days and had some time to get to know the systems. He gave us good energy in defense, another rotation at both wings and helped us by opening the court really well."

Players

ALBICY, ANDREW
BCM Gravelines
"We lost a lot of balls and Valencia scored often after that. In the second half, we played with lot of energy. But at the beginning of the game, we made poor choices. But we know we have the level for the Eurocup, and we showed it in the second half."
PIETRUS, FLORENT
Valencia Basket
"First of all, it is very important to win on the road, especially against a direct opponent like Gravelines. We played a good game and this is an important win. We knew about their playing time and what to do in this game. We played very good defense and managed to win a very complicated game - Gravelines leads the French League. The team has to carry on and people have to know that we will fight in every game until the end. We have to look forward, all the time."
