Zalgiris Kaunas completed its roster hours before the start of the 2012-13 Turkish Airlines Euroleague season by inking point guard Ibby Jaaber to a one-year deal, the club announced Tuesday night. Jaaber (1.87 meters, 28 years old) missed the 2011-12 season due to injury. His last Euroleague team was Armani Jeans Milano, with whom he averaged 10.8 points and 2.2 assists over 10 games in the 2010-11 season. Jaaber has also played for Lottomatica Virtus Roma in Italy and Egaleo in Greece since finishing his four-year career at the University of Pennsylvania (NCAA). He averaged 22.4 points in the Greek League to become the best scorer of the 2007-08 season there and caught the attention of the Lottomatica scouters who took him to Rome, where he played for two-and-a-half years before joining Milano. Jaaber replaces Mantas Kalnietis, who signed a long-term deal with Eurocup powerhouse Lokomotiv Kuban earlier this week.
