bwin Week 4 MVP: Bobby Brown, Montepaschi Siena
Bobby Brown - Montepaschi Sienabwin MVPBobby Brown did more than post the best individual performance in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague this week; the Montepaschi Siena guard delivered the premier performance of the season so far. In doing so, Brown secured the Italian champs their first Euroleague victory to date and earned for himself the bwin MVP honor for Week 4 of the regular season. Brown was front and center in Siena's come-from-behind 93-90 win over Elan Chalon-sur-Saone, erupting for 34 points and 5 assists. Brown tied a Euroleague record with 15 fouls drawn and made 16 free throws, the most in one Euroleague game in more than five years. His performance index rating of 43 was not only the best of any player this season, but going back almost three years, as well. To become the bwin MVP of the week, Brown needed to eclipse the brilliant showing of another start point guard. FC Barcelona Regal's Marcelinho Huertas paced his team to an 85-82 victory over Partizan mt:s Belgrade with 24 points and 9 assists for his career-best performance index rating of 38. One of Brown's opponents Friday was next on the list of Week 4 superstars. Shelden Williams was virtually unstoppable for Chalon with 28 points plus 13 rebounds for an index rating of 35. Union Olimpija Ljubljana center Aron Baynes was fourth on the list after his third double-double of the season. Baynes compiled 27 points on 10-of-12 shooting plus 10 rebounds for a 33 index rating, though it wasn't enough to lift his team to victory against BC Khimki Moscow Region. Keith Langford rounds out the list of this week's top performers with a 24-point scoring effort and 26 index rating for EA7 Emporio Armani in a loss against Zalgiris Kaunas. MVP Video

Those 13 rebounds by Williams of Chalon led all Euroleague players in that category this week, while Baynes of Olimpija is the overall leader with 10 boards per game so far. Both Huertas and Omar Cook of Milan were this week's top assist men, with 9 each. Jerel Blassingame of Asseco Prokom Gdynia, averaging 8.25 per game, is the league leader in assists.
