CSKA Moscow and shooting guard Drew Nicholas have reached an agreement to terminate his contract by mutual agreement, the club announced Friday. Nicholas arrived to CSKA last summer, inking a one-year deal with an option to extend it until the end of the 2013-14 season. He averaged 0.5 points and 0.8 assists in 4 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games with CSKA this season. Nicholas did better in the VTB League, averaging 7 points in 3 games. Nicholas, a former Alphonso Ford Top Scoring trophy winner, had arrived to CSKA from EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, where he spent one season after having won the Euroleague title in 2009 and 2011 with Panathinaikos. "We had no complaints about Nicholas' dedication and hard work in practice and are grateful for his help to the team and coaching staff," CSKA president Andrey Vatutin said. "We sincerely wish that Drew finds a new team and continues his successful career."
