As announced by the club on Wednesday afternoon, Montepaschi Siena veteran big man Tomas Ress will be sidelined for three weeks due to a trauma in his left leg. Ress got injured in the last Italian League game against Reggio Emilia and will therefore miss the next two Top 16 games in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague against Besiktas JK Istanbul and FC Barcelona Regal. He will probably be also missing the Italian Cup weekend, which will take place from February 7 to 10. Ress has been a driving force this year for Montepaschi with his 9.6 points and 4.1 rebounds - his best numbers ever in the competition - in 14 Euroleague appaerences this season. He is also leading the best blockers ranking with his total 9 and is also second in free throw percentage in the Top 16 with a 93.3%.
