Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv and power forward Malcolm Thomas reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract, the club announced Saturday. Thomas posted averages of 4.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 16 minutes in 15 Euroleague games, two of which he started. His best game came against Montepaschi Siena in his Euroleague debut at Nokia Arena, when he posted a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds in the second game of the regular season. During the Top 16, however, Thomas was playing only 8 minutes per game as compared to almost 20 in the regular season. In the Israeli League, Thomas averaged 7.4 points and 5.4 rebounds while playing 20 minutes per game. Thomas was signed on October 3, just a week before he made his Euroleague debut with 4 pints, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks in 18 minutes of Maccabi's road win at Unicaja Malaga to open the season. Maccabi was his first European team.
