Laboral Kutxa Vitoria announced Thursday that star guard Fernando San Emeterio will be sidelined for an estimated three weeks with a finger injury. San Emeterio damaged a tendon on his right hand during practice Wednesday and the injury was serious enough that the club decided to keep him from travelling for this week’s away game against Panathinaikos Athens. After further evaluation, it was determined that he will need three weeks to recover and return to action. San Emeterio, 29, is in his sixth season with Vitoria. He was an All-Euroleague First Team Selection in 2011 and recorded 12 points and 4 assists in Laboral’s season-opening win last week.
