Dragic hit the ground running on Friday and didn't stop until Unicaja owned an 83-75 victory against Anadolu Efes Istanbul and sole possession of third place in Top 16 Group E. He poured in 24 points, matching his Euroleague career high, by hitting 4 of 6 shots from two-point and three-point range, respectively, as well as 4 of 5 from the foul line. Dragic added 4 steals, another career high, to go with 3 assists and 3 rebounds for a performance index rating of 30, the highest this week and his best in two Euroleague seasons. The second best index rating of the round belonged to Keith Langford of EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. In a huge 86-88 road win over reigning champ Olympiacos Piraeus, Langford collected 20 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 7 drawn fouls for an index rating of 28. Giorgios Printezis of Olympiacos was next among the round’s best performances with an index of 26, thanks to 16 points, 9 rebounds and 10 drawn fouls. Tarence Kinsey of Partizan NIS Belgrade compiled an index rating of 25 by scoring 21 points, along with 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists, 1 block and 7 fouls drawn in a 70-55 win over Bayern Munich. Individual leaders: Justin Dentmon of Zalgiris, 28 points

Justin Dentmon of Zalgiris took weekly scoring honors with 28 points. Dentmon’s 17.1 point per game this season trail only Keith Langford (17.6 ppg.) for the league lead. Laboral Kutxa Vitoria’s Andres Nocioni grabbed 13 rebounds to lead all players in Top 16 Round 9. Joffrey Lauvergne of Partizan, who pulled down 10 boards, leads the competition with 8.9 rebounds per night. Carlos Arroyo of Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul, Victor Khryapa of CSKA and Langford each dished 8 assists to top the weekly charts. Dimitris Diamantidis remains the league leader with an average of 6.9 assists per game. Anadolu Efes's Zoran Planinic, and bwin MVP Dragic each had 4 steals, which were best in the competition for the week. Planinic’s teammate Jamon Gordon leads the Euroleague with 2.2 steals per game. Bryant Dunston of Olympiacos had 4 blocks this week to increase his league-best average to 1.6 per contest. Top 16 Round 9 produced two players with double doubles: Nocioni totaled 16 points plus 13 rebounds and Nemanja Bjelica of Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul scored 15 along with 10 boards.
