Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds participant CEZ Basketball Nymburk announced Wednesday it extended the contract with forward Tomas Pomikalek for another two seasons. Pomikalek (2.00 meters, 24 years old) was in his second campaign with the perennial Czech champion last season. He played in 6 Eurocup games, starting three of them, including Game 2 of the eighthfinals when he collected a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds against Unics Kazan. In limited Eurocup minutes Pomikalek averaged 2.5 points and 2.2 rebounds, while he contributed with 7.8 points and 4.6 rebounds on the way to Nymburk’s 11th consecutive Czech League title. He started his professional career with Liberec, and has also spent three seasons with Decin of the Czech League.
