CEZ Basketball Nymburk further bolstered its backcourt by signing guard Derek Raivio for the coming season. Raivio (1.90 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Belgian side Okapi Aalstar, for whom he has played the past two seasons. He led the Belgian League in scoring last season with 18.7 points per game and in average index rating with 20.7 per game. He made 40.8% of his three-point tries and was fifth in the league with 4.1 assists per game in helping Aalstar reach the Belgian League finals. Raivio also played three seasons in Germany – two for Cologne and one for Trier, suited up for Fort Wayne and Erie in the NBA D-League and spent one season in Japan with Shinshu Brave Warriors.
