
Unicaja Malaga bolstered its roster with the signing of versatile forward Caleb Green to a one-year deal. Green (2.03 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari, where he averaged 19.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 18 Eurocup games this season. He ranked fifth among all Eurocup players in performance index ranking per game (20.8) and was chosen to the All-Eurocup Second Team. Green also earned the MVP honor for Last 32 Week 6 last season after a 32-point, 6-rebound, 34-index performance against Brose Baskets Bamberg. Green also helped Sassari win its first-ever title, the Italian Cup, as well as to reach the Eurocup elimination rounds and the Italian League semifinals. Green already has Euroleague experienced; he played the competition with Belgacom Spirou Charleroi in the 2011-12 season and averaged 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 10 games. He started his professional career with TBB Trier in Germany and has also played for Belfius Mons-Hainaut and Telenet Ostend in Belgium as well as for Orleans in France. Green lifted the Belgian Cup trophy with Ostend in 2010 and will look to add more to his trophy case with Unicaja.
