Croatian champion Cedevita Zagreb made two more additions to the roster for its second Turkish Airlines Euroleague season. The club from the Croatian capital announced on Monday afternoon multi-year deals with shooting guard Fran Pilepic and power forward Mario Delas. Pilepic (1.94 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Bilbao Basket of Spain where he spent the last two years. He averaged 7.9 points per game in Eurocup action and scored in double digits in more than half of the 16 games he played last season, while posting 5.5 points in Spanish League games. Pilepic has played for Triglav Osiguranje, Crikvenica, Kvarner and Svjetlost Brod in Croatia, and also suited up for Siroki in Bosnia and Herzegovina, before moving to Bilbao.
Delas (2.07 meters, 24 years old) spent last season with Obradorio Blusens, where he averaged 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in the Spanish League. Delas grew up with KK Split, before moving to Zalgiris Kaunas in 2010. He made his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut in 2010-11 on loan to Cibona Zagreb and has also played for Lithuanian teams Siauliai and Baltai Kaunas before becoming a regular in the Zalgiris rotation in 2012. In 35 Euroleague games, Delas has averaged 3.5 points and 2.1 rebounds. He played for the Croatian national team at EuroBasket 2013, and was voted MVP of Under-19 World Championship in 2009 after leading Croatia to a bronze medal.
