As announced by the club on Monday, big man Gregory Echenique will stay with Telenet Ostend for the upcoming season. Echenique (2.06 meters, 23 years old) arrived to Ostend last season and debuted in the Eurocup by averaging 4.2 points and 5.2 rebounds in 16 minutes over six games. He won the Belgian League title with Ostend and will now take part in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds next September, hosted in Ostend. His team will face ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne in the first round.
