An elite point guard switched Turkish Airlines Euroleague sides with the announcement late Wednesday that Cedevita Zagreb inked Roko Ukic for the coming season. Ukic (1.96 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Panathinaikos Athens, where he played each of the last two seasons, helping the Greens win consecutive Greek League doubles - league and cup titles - and reach do-or-die Game 5s in the Euroleague playoffs. Panathinaikos and Ukic lost against FC Barcelona in 2013 and CSKA Moscow in 2014. Ukic averaged 6.3 points and 2.4 assists in 29 Euroleague games last season. Cedevita will be his sixth Euroleague team.

Ukic started his career with Croatian side Split, with whom he set a Eurocup assists record - 14 against Ionikos on January 20, 2004 – which stood for almost nine years. Ukic has also played for FC Barcelona and Tau Ceramica Vitoria in Spain, Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul in Turkey and Lottomatica Roma in Italy. Ukic has taken part in 146 Euroleague games, totaling 1,237 points and 365 assists. He helped Vitoria reach the Euroleague Final Four in 2006. Ukic lifted the Croatian League trophy with Split in 2003, helped Fenerbahce win consecutive Turkish League titles in 2010 and 2011, and has won seven cup titles with five different teams. Ukic was chosen as the 2013 Greek League finals MVP.  He is also an active member of the Croatian national team and was named captain of the squad for this summer's FIBA World Championships in Spain.
