Neptunas Klapieda will have the services of its top Eurocup performer last season, veteran forward Valdas Vasylius, for the club's Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut after signing him to a new one-year contract on Tuesday. Vasylius (2.03 meters, 30 years old) averaged 12.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1 assists over nine Eurocup games last season, his first in that competition. His average performance index rating of 15 in 23 minutes ranked him the Eurocup Regular Season's best 20 players in per-minute production. Now, he will play the Euroleague for the first time along with his team. Vasylius has played twice previously for Neptunas, in the 2008-09 and 2010-11 seasons. He also has played professionally for Anwil Wloclawek of Poland, Rethymno Aegean of Greece, Krasnye Krylia Samara of Russia, Dnipro of Ukraine and another Lithuanian team, Siauliai. Before turning pro, he spent four years at Old Dominion University.
