Neptunas Klaipeda added fire power to its roster weeks ahead of its Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut by inking small forward Deividas Gailius to a one-year deal on Thursday. Gailius (2.00 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Slovenian powerhouse Union Olimpija Ljubljana, where he averaged 16.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 16 Eurocup games last season. He was born in Klaipeda and already played three years for Neptunas, from 2007 to 2009 and in the 2012-13 season, in which he averaged 15.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in 18 VTB League games. Gailius has also played for Virtus Bologna in Italy, as well as for Siauliai and Nafta Universitetas in Lithuania. He is also a member of the Lithuanian national team. "I am pleased to wear Neptunas's jersey. This team is very close to me," Gailius said. "It is always nice to compete at home, especially when the core of the team are friends born in this city."
