Turkish Airlines Euroleague runner-up Real Madrid added to its backcourt by signing swingman K.C. Rivers to a one-year deal on Thursday. Rivers (1.96 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Reno of the NBA D-League, where he averaged 15.8 points and 4 rebounds in 47 games last season. He also brings valuable Euroleague experience; Rivers helped Khimki reach the Top 16 in the 2012-13 season by averaging 9.6 points in 24 games and hitting a buzzer-beating, game-winning shot in a regular season showdown against Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul. Rivers has also played for Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in Russia, Virtus Bologna, Associazione Basket Latina and Benetton Treviso in Italy and Chorale Roanne in France. Rivers is Madrid's third off-season signing after bringing in Euroleague veterans Andres Nocioni and Jonas Maciulis earlier this summer.
