Turkish Airlines Euroleague runner-up Real Madrid found a new point guard in Facundo Campazzo, who inked a three-year deal with the Spanish powerhouse on Saturday. Campazzo (1.79 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Peñarol Mar del Plata of his native Argentina, where he made his debut in 2008 and was his only club until now. Last season, Campazzo averaged 15.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6 assists and 2.1 steals in 48 Argentinean League games. He won the Newcomer of the Year award in 2010 and was also the Argentinean Finals MVP in 2012, plus the Argentinean Cup MVP in 2010. He lifted four Argentinean League titles from 2010 to 2014. He is also a player of the Argentinian national team and is present at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Campazzo helped Argentina win the 2012 South American championships, get a bronze medal at the 2013 FIBA Americas tournament and reach the 2012 Olympic Games semifinals in London, England.
