Laboral Kutxa Vitoria found a new point guard, none other than defensive ace Doron Perkins, who agreed in principle to sign a one-year contract with the Spanish powerhouse on Saturday. Perkins (1.89 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Besiktas Integral Forex Istanbul, where he averaged 9.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.7 steals in 13 Eurocup games last season, helping his team reach the eighthfinals. Perkins has also played for Donetsk in Ukraine, Olympiacos Piraeus in Greece, Foshan Long Lions in China, Bennet Cantu in Italy, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa in Israel, Euphony Bree in Belgium, EWE Baskets Oldenburg in Germany and Toyoya Alvark in Japan. Perkins lifted the Turkish Airlines Euroleague trophy with Olympiacos in 2013, even when he only saw playing time in the Top 16. He helped Alvark win the Japanese League in 2006 and won a Israeli League and two Israeli State Cups with Maccabi.
