
Hapoel Jerusalem completed its roster ahead of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by inking forwards Joseph Jones and Tony Gaffney on Monday. Jones (2.04 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Spanish club CAI Zaragoza where he played the last two years. Last season, making his Eurocup debut, Jones averaged 8.6 points and 4.8 rebounds, while in the Spanish League he posted 9.8 points with 4.7 rebounds. He also played professionally for Bursa in Turkey, Le Havre in France, Galil Gilboa in Israel, and spent time with Cangrejeros de Santurce in Puerto Rico. Gaffney (2.06 meters, 29 years old) is arriving from German side Telekom Baskets Bonn. He also made a Eurocup debut last season, and had 12.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 6 regular season games he played. In the German League, Gaffney averaged 10.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game. He started his professional career with a brief stint in Israel with Hapoel Galil Elyon, before moving on to Turk Telekom in Turkey and Utah Flash of the Development League. He also played with Joventut Badalona.
