Panathinaikos Athens set a Euroleague Playoffs record in its Game 3 victory over CSKA Moscow with 16 three-pointers. The Greens edged CSKA 86-85 on the strength of its shooting from downtown. Six of those threes came in a wild fourth quarter, including the record-setting 16th by Nikos Pappas in the final minute of the game. Pappas powered Panathinaikos to the record by making 5 of 7 attempts from behind the arc, while Antonis Fotsis netted 4 of 5. The remaining triples came from Vlantimir Giankovits (3), Dimitris Diamantidis (2), James Gist (1) and Loukas Mavrokefalidis (1). The previous mark of 15 was set by Laboral Kutxal Vitoria two years ago also against CSKA. CSKA made 14 threes in both Game 1 and Game 2 of this series.
