Maccabi lands sharpshooter Yivzori
Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv added another important piece to its backcourt by signing shooting guard Dagan Yivzori to a three-year deal. Yivzori (1.93 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Maccabi Bazan Haifa, for whom he averaged 12.2 points on 35.4% three-point shooting plus 3.8 assists and 2 steals over 33 Israeli League games last season. He will make his Euroleague debut with Maccabi, though Yivzori does have previous Eurocup experience with Haifa and Hapoel Gilboa Galil. He began his career with Maccabi Kiryat Bialik and has also played for Hapoel Afula and Hapoel Yokneam. Yivzori won the 2010 Israeli championship and a pair of Balkan League titles with Galil. He has played for the Israeli national team too and is on its preliminary squad ahead of EuroBasket 2015.
