For its return to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Stelmet Zielona Gora has added ambitious forward Vlad Moldoveanu, who last season enjoyed his first experience in the competition, on a one-year contract. Moldoveanu (2.06 meters, 27 years old) arrives from PGE Turow Zgorzelec, where he posted 6.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in 17 minutes on average over 10 games in his Euroleague debut. In the Polish League, Moldoveanu had slightly better numbers, 7.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in 16 minutes. After playing four seasons at American University, Moldoveanu spent his first three professional years with Benetton Treviso of Italy (2011-12), Le Havre of France (2012-13) and Kalev Cramo Tallinn of Estonia (2012-13). In 29 career Eurocup games for Benetton, Tallinn and Turow, Moldoveanu has had a consistent 6.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
"I am very happy that I signed with Stelmet BC. I think it was a very easy decision for me, I talked to a couple of ex-players there and everyone had only great things to say about the organization and the city," Moldoveanu said. "Euroleague is always a big challenge, and I am very happy at the opportunity to get a second chance at it."
