Limoges CSP re-signs point guard Westermann
After their first successful season together, Limoges CSP and point guard Leo Westermann will do it again for at least one more as they raise their objectives in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague even higher this time. Westermann (1.92 meters, 22 years old) has signed a one-plus-one contract, the club announced, after returning successfully from a long-term injury to average 7.7 points and 4.3 assists in 10 Euroleague games. He then posted same points and one fewer assist in six Eurocup games last season. Westermann had made his Euroleague debut in 2012-13 with Partizan Belgrade with 9.6 points per game, but saw the next one cut short after five appearances due to injury. In his return this season, Westermann started 49 of 50 European and domestic games with Limoges and helped lead the team to the French League title. That means that, despite his youth, Westermann has already been a domestic champion in three competitions, including the Adriatic and Serbian leagues with Partizan. He was the MVP of the 2013 Adriatic League finals as well as MVP for France in the 2012 European Under-20 Championships.
