Khimki Moscow Region bolstered its frontcourt by inking big man Marko Todorovic to a three-year deal, the club announced on Tuesday evening. Todorovic (2.09 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Dominion Bilbao Basket, where he had a breakout season. Todorovic averaged 11.5 points in 37 Spanish League games, ranking second in rebounds (7.2 rpg.), third in two-point percentage (65.2%) and being chosen to the competition's first team. Todorovic started his professional career with Joventut Badalona and also played for CB Prat before joining FC Barcelona in 2012. He helped Barcelona win the Spanish League title in 2014, lift the Copa del Rey trophy in 2013 and make it to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in each of his two seasons with the club. Todorovic is also a regular member of the Montenegrin national team.
Todorovic is a young and promising player, who played in Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona and successfully spent last season in Bilbao Basket", said Khimki General Manager Pavel Astakhov. "Despite his age, Marko rebounds well, he has good sense of his teammates and sees the court perfectly. Hopefully in BC Khimki Marko will grow as one of the best big men in Europe and bring the maximum benefit to our club."
