Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir reached an agreement with playmaker Joe Ragland to work together next season, the club announced Wednesday. Ragland (1.82 meters, 25 years old) arrives from EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, where he averaged 7.2 points on 82.8% free throw shooting and 2.9 assists in 24 Turkish Airlines Euroleague last season. Ragland joined Milan from FoxTown Cantu, where he had a solid 2013-14 Eurocup season. He averaged 14.7 points to rank 14th among all Eurocup players and 5.2 assists to rank seventh while playing 30 minutes per game. In the Italian League, Ragland put up similar numbers in helping Cantu reach the playoffs semifinalls with 16.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Ragland had come to Cantu in the middle of the previous season after having started it for UCAM Murcia of Spain in his debut as a professional. Previously, he played at North Platte Community College and Wichita State University.
