Cedevita lands high-flying White
Cedevita Zagreb added experience and athleticism to its roster at once by signing James White. The high-flying small forward arrives from Russian side Unics Kazan. Last season White (2.01 meters, 32 years old) averaged 10 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in 10 Turkish Airlines Euroleague appearances. He also posted 13.4 points and 3.3 boards in 12 Eurocup games to help the club reach that competition’s semifinals and 9.0 points and 3.8 rebounds in the VTB United League as Unics advanced to the quarterfinals. White also played the 2007-08 Euroleague with Fenerbahce. He had previously suited up for Italian side Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, with whom he won the 2014 EuroChallenge title. White has also played for New York, San Antonio and Houston of the NBA, Erie Bay, Austin and Anaheim of the D-League, Scavolini Pesaro and Dinamo Sassari of Italy, Spartak St. Petersburg of Russia and Fenerbahce Istanbul of Turkey. He helped Fenerbahce win the Turkish League title and reach the Euroleague playoffs in 2008 and was the 2010-11 Italian League top scorer with Sassari with 20.2 points per game over 34 appearances.
