Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir reached a new agreement with forward Kenny Gabriel to keep working together next season, the club announced Monday. Gabriel (2.09 meters, 26 years old) averaged 8.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in 18 Eurocup games last season, helping it reach the quarterfinals. He helped Karsiyaka win the Turkish League title and won the competition's slam dunk contest. Gabriel started his career with Maccabi Ashdod of Israel and has also played Proteas Danoi AEL Limassol of Cyprus, The Good Home Taranaki Mountain Airs of New Zealand and A.G.O. Rethymno Aegean of Greece. Gabriel is set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with Karsiyaka next season.
