French League champion Limoges CSP announced the arrival of swingman Matt Gatens, who inked a one-year deal with his new team on Sunday. Gatens (1.95 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Ronesans TED Kolejliler Ankara, where he averaged 8.9 points and 3.2 rebounds in 29 Turkish League games last season, hitting 42.5% of his three-point shots and 86.8% of his free throw attempts. He has also played for Khimik OPZ Yuhzny of Ukraine and UCAM Murcia of Spain. Gatens shined in the 2013-14 Eurocup with Khimik, averaging 11.5 points on 43.6% three-point shooting in 18 games. He also helped Khimik reach the Ukrainian League finals in 2014. Gatens will make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with Limoges next season.
