After just two months apart, Maccabi Tel Aviv and power forward Brian Randle are reunited. Randle (2.03 meters, 30 years old) passed a physical on Tuesday in Tel Aviv and signed a new contract with the club for whom he starred last season. In between, Randle had joined another Turkish Airlines Euroleague club. Maccabi and Randle had agreed to part ways following the 2014-15 campaign, during which he averaged 12 points on 64.2% two-point shooting plus 5.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks in 25 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games. He signed with Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in late June, but that contract was undone on Monday when Lokomotiv announced that Randle had not passed its own medical examination. However, Maccabi invited Randle back to Tel Aviv and after he completed testing to the team’s satisfaction, signed the player to a new contract. In his first season with the club, Randle helped Maccabi win the Israeli State Cup and reach the Euroleague playoffs. The new contract between Maccabi and Randle is for one season with an option for another.

Randle has played nearly his entire professional career in Israel. He first made a name for himself playing college basketball at the University of Illinois before joining Gilboa Galil. He was voted the Israeli League Defensive Player of the Year after his first season in which he helped Galil reach the league semifinals. In 2010 Randle and Galil captured the Israeli League championship. Randle played the next two seasons with Hapoel Jerusalem, which he helped win the Israeli Cup in 2011. He has also played for ALBA Berlin of Germany and Maccabi Haifa Bazan of Israel.
