Darussafaka announced Semih Erden
Turkish Airlines Euroleague newcomer Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul announced the comeback of big man Semih Erden for the next season. Erden (2.10 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Fenerbahce Istanbul, where last season he averaged 4.6 points and 2.5 rebounds in 25 Euroleague appearances, helping his team reach its first Final Four ever. Erden started his career precisely at Darussafaka in 2003. After that, he played in Partizan Belgrade and five more seasons in Fenerbahce. He then moved to the NBA and played with the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers, but in 2012 he returned to Turkey to play two seasons with Anadolu Efes Istanbul. He then moved back to Fenerbahce for last season. He has won several championships in Serbia and Turkey and is a member of the Turkish national team.
