Just couple weeks ahead of the start of the 2015-16 Turkish Airlines Euroleague season, French champion Limoges CSP added an experienced point guard to its backcourt, signing Heiko Schaffartzik to a short-term deal. Schaffartzik (1.88 meters, 31 years old) should fill in for injured playmaker Randy Culpepper who is expected to be back in November. Schaffartzik arrives from FC Bayern Munich, where he averaged 8.8 points, 2.8 assists and 2.3 rebounds in Euroleague action last season. In the past three seasons he played in 53 Euroleague games, with career average of 6.6 points, and has made 72 three-point shots in those games. The past two seasons Schaffartzik spent wearing Bayern's uniform, after three previous seasons playing with his hometown club ALBA Berlin. During his career he played for German clubs TusLi, Giessen, Nuernberg, Oldenburg, Ludwigsburg and Braunschweig, and has also had a short stint with Turk Telekom of Turkey. Schaffartzik has also been a regular member of the German national team for the past six years.
